MEET
COACH FARRELL

ABOUT ME

Raised in the heart of the Black church, Coach Farrell grew up immersed in faith, family, and community — but also in silence. When he later identified as LGBTQ+, the same community that once embraced him, in one way or another, turned away. The rejection from those he was raised to trust most left a deep wound, one that sent him searching for belonging beyond the walls of the church.

In that search, Farrell’s path took turns through pain and self-discovery — from toxic relationships and self-destructive patterns to finding “family” in gang culture. Each chapter was an attempt to fill the void left by love withheld and acceptance denied. Yet through it all, Farrell never stopped sensing God’s presence — the quiet, unrelenting truth that he was always loved and never disqualified.

He was always convinced that he was good with God, but traditional religion lacked the words and depth of meaning to articulate how. Additionally, the rejection from his natural family led him to seek Father/Mother God with more fervor, for the peace and vindication that he knew truth would provide.

The turning point came when Farrell embraced his identity as a trans man and began peeling back the layers of shame, survival, and self-doubt to uncover the deeper spiritual truth of who he’s always been. His journey home is ongoing — one of hearing, seeing, and knowing the truth that makes him free.

Today, Coach Farrell is a husband, proud father, certified life coach, and CPA candidate.

He is also the founder of God Power Activated, where he helps LGBTQIA+ individuals reconnect with the God within — not the one distorted by fear or religion, but the One rooted in authenticity, freedom, and unconditional love. His work in the trans community earned him The Chyna Gibson Community Advocate Man of the Year Award (2019), a testament to his passion for helping others heal, stand tall in their truth, and walk boldly in their divine power.

He is living proof that even when you lose your place in traditional systems, you never lose your place with God.
